As a member of the Restoration Department and reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various restoration projects for private sector clients in Halifax. This is a telecommuting role ideal for a self driven, organized and independent individual who thrives working in a fast pace, deadline driven environment. You responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:


  • Assisting in the execution of assigned projects;
  • Performing on-site investigation of building cladding systems, roofs, underground parking garages and other structures (experience with swing stage required);;
  • Analyzing on-site findings and other project information to draft reports and report back to senior managers;
  • Taking part in the preparation of specifications, tender documents and drawings for assigned projects;
  • Monitoring, inspecting  and evaluating restoration  project progress against contract documents on a daily basis;
  • Contract administration including liaison with clients;
  • Providing input, as required, on all aspects of the work in terms of an overall efficiency, creativity and technical knowledge; and
  • Performing other duties as may be required from time to time.



  • Completion of post-secondary education (college or university) in a related field (civil engineering, architectural science preferred);
  • Minimum 10 years of demonstrated PM experience in investigating,  monitoring and inspecting  repairs of building envelope and parking garage structures;
  • Previous experience in construction and residential restoration projects will be preferred;
  • Experience in preparation of specifications and tender documents;
  • PMP designations or working towards would be considered an asset;
  • Professional Engineer designation and in good standing is preferred;
  • Health & Safety training requirements in construction projects is preferred including Working in heights, Swing Stage;
  • Knowledge of PM methodologies, building science and concrete restoration and construction contract CCDC document is preferred;
  • Excellent verbal & written Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to find positive solutions to complex and sensitive issues;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a complex and growing organization;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project, AutoCAD, Project Management software;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license/insurance to travel to sites.
