DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


As a Concrete Technician, you will be working in a multidisciplinary engineering & related professional services firm. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: 


  • Testing concrete i.e. slump test & air tests;
  • Casting cylinders for compressive strength and beam moulds; 
  • Driving to various site locations;
  • Maintaining daily records of all test data;
  • Working within a concrete laboratory and being responsible for other lab related duties;
  • Working outside and being exposed to changing weather conditions.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Completed a two or three year college program in Civil Engineering technology or a closely related discipline;
  • CCIL Certification will be considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Possess a valid G license with access to a registered vehicle and insurance;
  • Clean Driver's Abstract is required;
  • Must be able to lift/move heavy equipment;
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
