As a member of our Land Development Division, you will support the advancement of land development undertakings. With an entrepreneurial spirit you will be a high achieving, self-starter with initiative and strong project management skills. High levels of professionalism, attention to detail, and a desire to deliver quality client service are key to this role. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with submissions for development projects (e.g. subdivision, condominium, consent, minor variance, official plan amendment, rezoning, site plan, etc.);
  • Site visits to document in-the-field conditions in support of land development assessments;
  • Completing due diligence investigations regarding potential land use development undertakings;
  • Providing assistance on development projects to other disciplines (civil engineering, environmental, etc.);
  • Administrative support of land development projects/files;
  • Preparing graphic materials for reports and presentations; and
  • Drafting professional planning rationale reports and land use justifications.


  • Enrolled in a university degree program with a major in Planning, Environmental Sciences, or Geography;
  • Relevant co-op or other work experience is an asset;
  • Familiarity with land development approvals processes;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Familiarity with graphic design software would be considered an asset;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Experience in customer service or public consultation would be considered an asset;
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to think creatively;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team; and
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
