We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer or Senior Project Manager to join our Land Development Department in our Kingston office. The successful candidate will lead the Team in the office and will also be responsible for completing detailed engineering drawings and designs for land development projects of many types (subdivisions, commercial site plans, municipal, solar farms and more). Your duties will include, but are not limited to:


  • Working with senior staff on engineering design and a variety of projects, such as storm and sanitary services, water mains, subdivisions and/or site plans;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, consultants and other business leaders;
  • Providing leadership and mentoring for engineering interns and technologists and provide guidance and mentoring to more junior staff;
  • Preparing technical specifications and reports;
  • Liaising with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors;
  • Maintaining positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Participating in the preparation of engineering services proposals; and
  • Monitoring industry standards and developments, assessing client needs and make concrete decisions on proposed solutions.



  • Completion of a university degree in Civil Engineering;
  • 5+ years of design experience on land development projects;
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario;
  • Design skills with good working knowledge of AutoCAD;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively;
  • Sound understanding of the land development process;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team;
  • Experienced with project management and has worked in, or understands the consulting engineering environment;
  • Working knowledge of stormwater modeling programs (SWYMHO, HEC-RAS, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster) would be an asset; and
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
